Giving Tuesdays at Huckleberry Square

Every Tuesday Huckleberry Square donates 10% of sales to a local non-profit.

This quarter we’re supporting Burien Severe Weather Shelter. We’ve been able to get one of our food distributors, Sysco, to help, and on top of what we raise they will be donating an additional $750 per month. Thank you Sysco!

BSWS is located at Highline United Methodist Church and invites people in from the cold for a hot meal and a warm, safe place to sleep. They serve 50-60 people from Burien on cold winter nights typically when it’s below freezing. .

HOW YOU CAN HELP: Aside from eating and drinking at Huckleberry Square on Tuesdays and knowing that 10% of what you spend will go to the shelter, you can drop off at Huckleberry canned food items, wool socks, underwear, warm jackets, hats, gloves and boots & we’ll deliver to the shelter.

You can also volunteer at the shelter or get them other items. You can find out what they need for both at https://buriensws.org

We recommend singing up for their email list so you can be notified when they are going to be open and what their needs are.

Support the neighborhood and thank you!
